MEIKLEWOOD AND THE UNDERDOGS COMPETE AT RUGBY PARK
James Fowler Testimonial 5's Winners 'Meiklewood' played runners up 'The Underdogs' at Rugby Park on Wednesday night in front of 2000 fans including a 300 strong Sheffield Wednesday contingent! The players played a good 10 minute match with both sides showcasing the skills that led them to the final of Fowler's Fives tournament back in June. Meiklewood, one of our 5-a-side and 7-a-side league teams, came out on top during the match and were presented with a silver shield to commemorate the occasion. Hopefully all the players enjoyed their moments on Rugby Park's hallowed turf but I'm sure they will feel more comfortable at home, on Powerleague's new 5th Generation pitches!!
